I was looking at the Barbary pirate Carbide Series Air 740 personal computer case. Here is a link to Barbary pirate's internet site with images of the case:
https://www.corsair.com/U.S./nut/Categories/Products/Cases/Carbide-Series™-Air-740-High-Airflow-ATX-Cube-Encase/p/CC-9011096-WW
The bottom panel is not a plain flat panel. The bottom empanel is finished similar to the front panel and the exceed impanel. But then the right panel is a unattractive underdeveloped venire. That would suggest the vitrine could be rotated 90 degrees so that the spare correctly panel becomes the bottom panel and the motherboard is in a horizontal position.
I downloaded and looked at the owner's hand-operated and watched numerous video reviews. One video included
a fairly good view of a case disassembly. It looked care the case could be used in a horizontal orientation.
I was wondering if anyone has time-tested it.

If you desirable a case with a horizontal layout, thermaltake core series are a better alternative, or the Curium HAF2.

Adding case feet would non be a problem for me. I like large washing machine sheath feet. They are successful of rubber, are readily in stock online, and cost a lot fewer than calculator case feet. The original case feet on the 740 can be easy separate.
I went rearmost and looked at videos again. I found two video clips that in reality showed the 740 lying connected its right side and the buns panel in its new position. If the encase is lying on its right side, then the leftfield, front, and redress panels all mates perfectly. IT careful looks to me like the 740 mightiness have originally been designed every bit a horizontal cube case or maybe a dual orientation encase.

The 740 is a great case, nonetheless the guys at corsair did not intend information technology to be arranged on its side like that. This would not follow the thermal design the case was intended, and do not take priggish fan locations.
If you really want to keep that horizontal motif, something like a thermaltake core x5 would be way better fit as it even have fan muscae volitantes designed for a horizontal case.
But again, this is my 2 cents.
If your an avid modder As you state, then in that location is no such thing was a wrong case, hardly how much time with a dremel will personify spent....

In that respect is a antic i learned a few years binding that allows you - at your own risk - to pretty much use any case you want on its side. Simply i have to warn you, it's not easy..
Here are the step-by-abuse instructions and a list of the tools you will need:
Whole step 1. Go the slip sideways.
As you john see, it's not a method that just anyone could use. It takes years of being deep in the IT mod culture, but if you put your head down and survey, in a yr operating theater deuce you too could be benefiting from having this hi-tech case layout.
